If you have a home battery, you can take advantage of this value difference simply by setting your battery's charge and discharge times.

If you can use more power during the day and less in the evening peak, the ZEROHERO energy plan is designed to give you the best return on investment of your home battery with the least fuss. Enjoy!

ZeroCharge

Pay ZERO to charge your battery

An energy usage rate of $0.00 between 11am - 2pm each day on all standard energy circuits. Controlled load or dedicated circuit will be charged on the normal usage rate.

ZeroHero

Get paid when you use your battery

Get paid $1 a day when you draw Zero^** power from the grid at peak times.

ZeroWastedSolar

Get paid more for your solar

Feed-In your excess solar when it's worth most. Not only are there 3 feed-in rates depending on the time of day (to see rates - quote now) - you also get a bonus Super Export Credit for the first 10kWh exported during the evening peak^* every day.

For QLD: between 5pm and 7pm Local Time Every Day.
For VIC & NSW & SA: between 5pm and 7pm Local Time Every day (Non-daylight saving time) or between 6pm and 8pm Local Time Every day (Daylight saving time).

^**Zero = less than 0.03kWh/Hour from grid during evening peak every day.

Any feed-in tariff we pay applies to all your Exports including to any Exports supplied in the Super Export Window, whether below or in excess of the Super Export Threshold, and to any Exports supplied outside the Super Export Window.

Am I eligible for ZEROHERO?

The key eligibility criteria for GloBird ZEROHERO VPP offer are:

You are a residential, non-ABN customer located in NSW, SA, QLD (Energex) or VIC.
You own and occupy the Premises or have the right to use the System.
No one requires life support or uses the System for critical care needs at the Premises.
The Premises has a smart meter installed.
There is a reliable internet (5G or fibre broadband) connection connected the Premises and the System.
The Premises and the System is not involved in any other VPP Offer or other demand response program, including any pilot or demonstration trial.
Your System is normally functioning with between:
- - 3 kWh - 15 kWh solar-PV capacity
- - 3 kWh - 35 kWh battery capacity (AlphaESS, Redback, SunGrow, SolaX, Sigenergy or Tesla brands only)

Important information

To earn VPP Credits, you must have a Qualifying System and must meet and remain compliant with the Eligibility Criteria and all other requirements of the Virtual Power Plant Terms and Conditions.
Your System may need to have particular characteristics (including its technical and/or control capability) as provided by its manufacturer and/or installer in order to access some of the VPP Credits.
Meeting the requirements of one of the VPP Credits may limit your ability to earn other VPP Credits.
GloBird Energy expects to launch its VPP Intelligent Control Technology in due course which will automatically co-ordinate your System for ZEROHERO VPP Credits. Eligible customers in the meantime can secure ZEROHERO VPP Credits via their System manufacturer’s app and/or 3rd party control devices as applicable.
